434L stainless steel powder (UNS S43400) is a low-carbon, ferritic stainless steel known for its enhanced corrosion resistance, especially in chloride-containing environments, and for improved pitting resistance compared to 430L.
It maintains good oxidation resistance, ductility, and weldability, making it ideal for applications where both strength and corrosion resistance are essential.
434L Stainless Steel Advantages
434L stainless steel offers excellent corrosion and pitting resistance, especially in chloride environments, making it ideal for marine and chemical applications. Type 434 alloy powder resists oxidation at temperatures up to 1600°F for intermittent service, and from 1450°F to 1500°F for continuous service.
It offers good ductility, weldability, and facilitates easy fabrication. With low carbon content, it minimizes carbide precipitation during welding.
