Hastelloy® X (UNS N06002) is one of the original nickel superalloys. It has excellent fabricability and weldability for a high temperature nickel alloy and is used in sintered metal filters and coatings applications.
Key Benefits of Hastelloy® X Powder
With a nickel-chromium-iron-molybdenum composition, Hastelloy® X provides excellent stability and strength at elevated temperatures. It maintains mechanical integrity even after prolonged exposure to high temperatures.
Hastelloy® X offers excellent oxidation resistance, particularly in high-temperature environments, and demonstrates strong resistance to stress-corrosion cracking in petrochemical applications.
The alloy is ductile and has excellent formability properties after long exposure at temperatures above 1200°F / 650°C for 16,000 hours. It can be hot-worked and is also easily formed by cold working. To restore the optimum balance of properties, all hot- or cold- worked parts should be annealed and cooled quickly.
Hastelloy® X Powder Applications
Hastelloy® X powder is widely used in industries requiring high corrosion resistance and strength under harsh chemical environments, such as:
