MIM powders in 17-4PH, 430L, 316L, other 300 Stainless Steel alloys for automotive parts, industrial & additive manufacturing

Metal Injection Molding

Metal Injection Molding (MIM) is a cost-efficient process for manufacturing near net shape small precision parts and complex shaped components in both large and small volumes.

Our Metal Injection Molding powder is ideally suited to the process and is combined with binders and sintering aids and then sintered into these parts. Leveraging our advanced atomization technology, we engineer ultra-fine MIM powders as small as 10µm, tailored to meet diverse industry needs

Metal Injection Molding Materials

Our state-of-the-art water atomization technology is optimized for high-performance stainless steels and specialty alloys, ensuring compatibility with conventional MIM processes. We offer both standard and custom size distributions to suit specific applications.
  • Grades: 17-4PH®, 70/30 Fe/Cr, 430L, 316L, other 300 Stainless Steel series
  • Sizes: Typically smaller than 20µm

Austenitic Stainless Steels

We offer 316L stainless steel for Metal Injection Molding applications that demand excellent corrosion resistance, strength, and ductility. Other available austenitic grades include 304L and 310L.

Ferritic Stainless Steels

Our 430L ferritic stainless steel offers a balance of good magnetic response and moderate corrosion resistance. Additional grades include 409L, 410L, and 434L.

17-4 PH® Precipitation Hardening Stainless Steels

17-4 PH® stainless steel is widely used for its exceptional strength and hardness, along with superior corrosion resistance compared to 400-series stainless steels. Through heat treatment, a broad range of mechanical properties and hardness levels can be achieved.

Metal Injection Molding Applications

Our MIM powders are used to produce complex parts with high precision markets including automotive, industrial, consumer, firearms, medical and IT.
