Stainless steel powder 303L is a free machining, austenitic grade that offers moderate corrosion resistance

303L Stainless Steel Powder

303L stainless steel powder (UNS S30300) is a low-carbon grade of austenitic stainless steel known for its excellent machinability. It is commonly used in industrial applications where high strength and good formability are required.

303L Stainless Steel Advantages

Stainless steel powder 303L is a free machining, austenitic grade that offers moderate corrosion resistance. This stainless steel is sintered in either a partial vacuum or a hydrogen atmosphere to improve ductility and corrosion resistance. 303L can also be admixed with MnS or MoS2 for added machinability.

304L SS Powder is often the most practical stainless steel choice for parts that need the benefit of an austenitic grade

303L Stainless Steel Powder Applications

303 Stainless steel powder is a sulfurized grade that is an excellent option for parts that require secondary machining operations, such as food service equipment, pump components and nonmagnetic housings. It is commonly used in Powder Metallurgy (P/M) applications such as lock hardware, appliance parts, and automotive exhaust system components.
